1. The Law of Empathy:
One of my business mentors always talks about the idea of marketing with empathy. In other words, we have to market with our viewers, listeners and clients in mind.

Instead of selling or talking about what we want to buy or hear, we have to sell and talk about what our clients want to buy.

2. The Law of Focus:
The man who chases two rabbits catches none. If you want to build brand insistence, you must help your audience understand that what you are creating is perfectly tailored for their wants and needs.

The best way to do this is to focus on a very specific target audience and hit them with a message tailored specifically for them.

3. The Law of Quality:
When I coach entrepreneurs and entertainers, I often tell them I’d rather they create one awesome piece of content every month than produce 100 mediocre pieces of content that don’t add value for their clients.

Sure, posting 100 blogs and videos in a month will help you get a technical boost from SEO. But, if not managed correctly, that boost may lead to viewers looking at content that fails to hit the mark and thus hurts your overall SEO strategy.

4. The Law of Growth:
Rome was not built in a day. Allowing your hard efforts in content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO) and advertising to take root is paramount to your success. Just don’t expect to harvest the fruit for several months or even up to a year after planting.

That said, the more you plant the seeds of quality content, the more opportunities you will have to attract an engaged audience who will actually want to share your work, products and services with other people.

5. The Law of Connection:
At a convention last year, Nido Qubein told us that we as marketers needed to go beyond communication to connection.

No one will want to buy your products or services or help spread your message if they cannot find themselves in it. Always make the happiness of your audience and your customers your bottom line.
